Attend a Meeting to Support the John Wayne Pioneer Trail!

The iconic John Wayne Pioneer Trail is in trouble.

In September, state representatives Joe Schmick and Mary Dye announced their intent to close nearly 130 miles in the eastern half of the trail and give away the publicly owned corridor at no cost to adjacent private landowners. Thanks to trail supporters and local communities, that plan was quickly put on hold—for now.

In response to the public outcry, Rep. Schmick and the Tekoa Trail and Trestle Association are holding public listening sessions to discuss the future of the trail. This is your chance to give direct feedback to Rep. Schmick and speak out in support of the John Wayne Pioneer Trail.
